ARC Achieves National Accreditation
In early 2003, Association Resource Center became a charter member of the ANSI/IAAMC Accreditation Program and has been recognized for Quality, Service and Excellence. ARC is the only Association Management Company (AMC) in Sacramento to earn this distinction.
Under the guidance of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) launched a major initiative to upgrade recognition of the quality and competence of the Association Management Company (AMC) industry.
The ANSI/IAAMC Standard assists professional association management companies in the establishment of their own internal quality systems.
The Standard of Good Practices for the Association Management Industry was established to create a message that communicates to the marketplace that an accredited AMC has demonstrated the commitment and ability to deliver consistent quality service and organizational excellence to present and prospective clients.
The Standard assists professional AMC’s in the establishment of their own internal quality systems, and serves as the source document for the IAAMC Accreditation Program. An IAAMC accredited AMC has invested significant time and money to meet or exceed the requirements, and organizations can be assured that accredited AMCs demonstrate a high level of professionalism and responsibility.
Association Resource Center has successfully met the ANSI/IAAMC Standard of Good Practices for the Association Management Industry and has been accredited by IAAMC.
How does Accreditation benefit the Client?
Accreditation fosters an organizational culture embracing professional performance attributes; and controls cost, improves efficiency, and promotes prompt performance of quality.
Accredited AMC’s adopt transition procedures and include steps to be taken to assure client property is properly transferred.
Accredited AMC’s have established service policies and delivery systems that guarantee competent and knowledgeable staff and emphasize the importance of customer satisfaction.
Accredited AMC’s have established procedures that ensure financial control and reporting systems, which conform to GAAP, are in place and utilized as appropriate.
Accredited AMC’s have adopted written policies that prohibit co-mingling of any and all client assets with ARC or any other client’s assets; policies and procedures to protect the privacy and integrity of client’s proceedings, records and data.
Accredited AMC’s adopt internal and external audit procedures that:
- Ensure audit activities are appropriately planned
- Audit results, corrective actions, and corrective action results and consequences are appropriately recorded and reported to clients.
- Audit conclusions are discussed with the people whose activities and results are being audited, and deficiencies are corrected.
